Mac Mini Promotion

1. Overview
No purchase necessary. This promotion ("Promotion") is offered by Build.io Inc ("Company," "we," "us," or "our") and runs from April 7, 2026 to May 7, 2026 ("Promotion Period"). By participating, you ("Participant") agree to be bound by these Terms. The Promotion consists of a complimentary 30-minute call to assess your Heroku setup, with a prize of one (1) Apple Mac Mini M4 (approximate retail value: US$599) awarded if the Company fails to demonstrate a 25% cost reduction and a migration plan completable in under one week.
2. Eligibility
To be eligible, Participants must meet all of the following criteria:
- Must be at least 18 (or the age of majority in their jurisdiction)
- Currently on a paid Heroku plan with an average monthly spend of $500 or more over the preceding 6 consecutive months
- One entry per company
- Must be willing to share details of their current Heroku setup during the call
- Must be located in a jurisdiction served by both Heroku and the Apple Store, and where this type of promotion is permitted by applicable law
3. How to Enter
- Book a call via the designated booking link on the promotion page
- The Company will confirm eligibility prior to the call
- The call will be conducted within the agreed 30-minute window
4. The Assessment
During the call, the Company will review the Participant's current Heroku setup and prepare, in good faith, a cost comparison and migration plan. The assessment will cover:
- A comparison of equivalent workloads running on Build vs. Heroku
- A migration plan with estimated timelines, effort, and cost
Savings are calculated based on equivalent workloads using the Participant's average monthly Heroku spend over the preceding 6 months as the baseline. Services hosted on other providers (e.g. Cloudflare, AWS) are excluded from the comparison.
5. Prize
- Prize: one (1) Apple Mac Mini M4 (approximate retail value: US$599; model and specifications at the Company's discretion)
- Awarded when: the prize is awarded only if the Company cannot demonstrate a 25% cost reduction AND a migration plan completable in under one week from commencing onboarding
- Verification: before awarding the prize, the Company reserves the right to verify the Participant's Heroku spend, infrastructure setup, and migration details. Failure to provide satisfactory verification may result in disqualification
- Canadian residents: Participants resident in Canada must correctly answer a time-limited, skill-testing mathematical question before receiving the prize
- No cash alternative: the prize has no cash value and cannot be exchanged, transferred, or substituted
- Taxes and duties: the Participant is solely responsible for any applicable taxes, duties, or levies associated with receiving the prize
- Delivery: prize delivery will be arranged following conclusion of the assessment
6. Limitation of Liability
This Promotion is provided in good faith. The Company makes no guarantees beyond those explicitly stated. The Company shall not be liable for any damages, losses, or claims arising from the assessment process or reliance on its findings. Participation does not constitute a binding migration agreement.
7. General Conditions
- The Company reserves the right to modify, suspend, or terminate this Promotion at any time without prior notice
- These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict of law principles
- Any disputes arising from this Promotion shall be resolved exclusively in the courts of the State of Delaware
- If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force and effect
